As the cardinals prepare to enter the Conclave to elect the new Pope, many articles have featured how should the new Pope be.
The late Pope John Paul II, while hailed as one of the greatest Popes, has his share of critisicsms, mostly for being too conservative in areas such as sexuality, and women in Church.
Many would urge that contraceptives are allowed, in view as a means of prevention of AIDS. some also ask to make homosexuality acceptable. Others requests that priests to be allowed to marry or permit women to be preists.
If looking at these requests, some come from the general public view, and not of the Lord's view. I certainly do not agree with homosexuality. As for contraceptions, the motive behind its usage should be clear, and should not be a means for recreation. I'm not sure about priests getting married, as i have seen problems with divorces and infidelity among married pastors.
The actual problem now is the public is all corrupted and having too much rights, but it may not be the correct thing or what God wanted us to be. As countries become more civilised and more advance, people become more selfish and request what they think is right, even thought it may not be so.
My prayer goes to the soon-to-be elected Pope, that he will continue to lead his flock and be the Lord's servant and do according to His will, and not the general public.
